Punjab govt providing all facilities to farmers: minister

Punjab Minister for Agriculture Muhammad Naeem Khan Bhabha on Saturday said the Punjab government was providing all possible facilities to farmers.

In a statement issued here, the minister said Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif contacted the federal government for restoration of subsidy on fertilisers and to protect the future of farmers.

He said Sindh government should also ensure the sale of fertilisers at subsidised prices. A huge stock of fertilisers was available in Punjab and, “We will not allow any body to deprive farmers of benefits of the subsidy,” he added.

The agriculture sector was our top priority, he said.
