Truck-maker Ghandhara Nissan has posted a loss of Rs28.8 million for the fiscal year 2018-19,down from a profit of Rs1.03 billion last year.
The company reported sales of Rs. 2.37 billion, up by 7.24 percent as compared with Rs2.21 billion last year. The cost of sales of the company increased by 15.17% to Rs. 2.05 billion as compared with Rs. 1.78 billion recorded last year.
The company sold over 611 units of JAC during the fiscal year. However, it sold only 160 products last year as it started its production last year in March 2018. Ghandhara Nissan Ltd (GNL) announced earlier this year that it is going to roll out three Nissan models, including a 1,200cc Datsun Cross, Datsun Go, and Datsun Go Plus, in the second half of 2020.
Ghandhara reported a loss per share of Rs. 0.51 from earnings per share of Rs. 20.96 reported last year. GHNL’s shares at the bourse were closed at Rs. 49.39, down by 4.98% or Rs. 2.59 with a turnover of 96,500 shares only.
