MoIP given two weeks to prepare roadmap for SMEs' facilitation

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed the Ministry of Industries & Production to prepare a workable roadmap for promotion of small & medium enterprises (SMEs) in the next two weeks.

Chairing a meeting of the National Coordination Committee for SMEs on Wednesday, the PM reiterated the government's resolve to remove all hindrances in the way of SMEs' facilitation.

He directed the authorities concerned to adopt best international practices for the provision of facilities and incentives to SMEs. "The incumbent government is paying special attention to the facilitation of small business."

The PM was earlier briefed on the proposed SME Policy 2020.
