PM forms JIT to probe One Constitution Avenue project irregularities
NAB-led team to examine contract violations and non-payment issues, submit findings to prime minister within 60 days

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the formation of a high-level Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to investigate irregularities, contract violations and non-payment issues linked to the One Constitution Avenue residential project in Islamabad.
As per reports, the decision was taken on the recommendations of a ministerial committee headed by Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar.
According to the approved plan, the JIT will be led by a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) official of BS-21 or above.
The team will include senior representatives from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
The JIT has been directed to submit its findings to the prime minister within 60 days.
NAB has been asked to issue the formal notification and provide secretarial support for the investigation.
The probe will focus on alleged irregularities, violations of contractual obligations and payment-related disputes surrounding the multi-billion-rupee residential project.
