Lotte Chemical Pakistan commissions 6.5MW captive solar power plant

Lotte Chemical Pakistan Limited has commissioned a 6.5-megawatt captive solar power plant as part of its plan to reduce dependence on grid electricity and lower energy costs.

In a material information notice issued to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on July 10, 2026, the company described the commissioning as a step towards zero-cost electricity consumption.

Lotte Chemical said the project would reduce its reliance on high-cost grid electricity, lower operating expenses and support profitability and long-term competitiveness.

The company also said the solar facility would reduce its carbon footprint and support more sustainable operations.
