Lotte Chemical Pakistan commissions 6.5MW captive solar power plant
Company says project will reduce grid dependence, lower operating costs and support zero-cost electricity consumption target
Lotte Chemical Pakistan Limited has commissioned a 6.5-megawatt captive solar power plant as part of its plan to reduce dependence on grid electricity and lower energy costs.
In a material information notice issued to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on July 10, 2026, the company described the commissioning as a step towards zero-cost electricity consumption.
Lotte Chemical said the project would reduce its reliance on high-cost grid electricity, lower operating expenses and support profitability and long-term competitiveness.
The company also said the solar facility would reduce its carbon footprint and support more sustainable operations.
No information was provided on the project’s investment cost, expected annual generation, site, contractor or estimated savings.
