Cherat Packaging commissions 2.7MW solar power plant in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
New facility at Gadoon Amazai raises company’s installed solar capacity to 3.7MW and is expected to reduce energy costs

Cherat Packaging Limited has commissioned a 2.7-megawatt solar power plant at its factory in Gadoon Amazai, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
The new facility has been installed in addition to an existing 1MW solar plant, taking the company’s total installed solar power capacity at the site to 3.7MW.
Cherat Packaging said the project would help reduce its operating costs through the use of clean and renewable energy.
The company also said the plant would support its environmental sustainability objectives.
Cherat Packaging requested the Pakistan Stock Exchange to circulate the information among Trading Right Entitlement certificate holders.
Cherat Packaging Limited was incorporated in Pakistan in 1989 as a public limited company. It manufactures, markets and sells paper sacks, polypropylene bags and flexible packaging materials.
