Government-owned importer invites international suppliers to bid for one LNG cargo for delivery on July 27-28

Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL) has invited international suppliers to bid for one liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo for delivery later this month as the government-owned company moves to secure fuel supplies to meet the country's higher summer gas demand.
Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL), the government-owned entity responsible for procuring LNG to meet Pakistan's energy requirements, has issued an international tender seeking bids for the supply of one LNG cargo on a Delivered Ex-Ship (DES) basis at Port Qasim, Karachi.
According to the tender document, "Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL) is owned by the Government of Pakistan and has the mandate to procure Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to meet the country's gas requirements."
The document further states: "Bids are invited from reputed international suppliers for the supply of one (01) LNG cargo on a Delivered Ex-Ship (DES) basis at Port Qasim, Karachi, Pakistan."
Under Tender No. PLL/IMP/LNGT76: The LNG cargo is scheduled for delivery on July 27-28, 2026. The cargo quantity has been specified as 140,000 cubic metres (±5%), subject to the tolerance mentioned in the bid documents.
PLL said bid documents can be obtained from its office or by email until July 20, 2026.
The company stated: "Bid documents may be obtained from the office of Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL) in person or through email request at [email protected] from the date of advertisement to 20 July 2026."
It further said: "The bid, prepared in accordance with the instructions in the bid documents, must reach the office of PLL on or before 1400 hours PST on 20 July 2026. The bids will be opened the same day at 1430 hours PST as per PPRA rules."
The advertisement states that the tender has been published on both the PPRA and PLL websites.
Highlighting its procurement rights, PLL said: "Pakistan LNG Limited reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to reject all bids prior to the acceptance of a bid or proposal, as per Rule 33 of the Public Procurement Rules, 2004."
The latest tender comes as Pakistan seeks to ensure adequate LNG supplies for the power and gas sectors during the peak summer demand period through competitive international procurement.
