Pakistan Oilfields brings Razgir-1 well onstream, gas production expected to reach 25.1 mmcfd

Output includes 333 barrels per day of condensate; well connected to Tolanj Production Facility

Pakistan Oilfields Limited (POL) announced that the Razgir-1 well in the TAL Block has been brought onstream, with production expected to ramp up to 25.1 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd) of gas and 333 barrels per day of condensate.

In a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday, the company said the well began production on October 12, 2025, after receiving all necessary regulatory approvals.

“Production from the well is being gradually ramped up and is expected to reach the flow rate of 25.1 million cubic feet per day of gas with 333 barrels per day of condensate by the end of the day,” the company stated.

The development follows earlier testing of the Lumshiwal, Kawagarh, and Lockhart formations at the Razgir-1 well, which POL had reported in its previous communications dated July 29, August 6, and August 19, 2024.

POL holds a 25 percent pre-commercial working interest in the TAL Block, where MOL Pakistan is the operator. The well has been connected to the Tolanj Production Facility for processing and distribution.

The company said the new output would contribute to stabilizing domestic gas supplies as it continues to expand operations in collaboration with its partners in the block.
