FBR extends date for payment of sales tax, federal excise return

The Federal Board of Revenue has further extended the date of payment of sales Tax and federal excise return for the tax period February 2020, up to April, 12, 2020. 

According to a circular issued on Tuesday,  the payment date was further extended till April 12, 2020 from March 31, 2020.

Meanwhile, the FBR has appealed to taxpayers to pay their taxes in time to increase revenue resources of the government. In a separate statement, the FBR said the government will utilise all available resources to provide services to the people under the prevailing situation of Covid-19.

It further stated that the staff and officers of FBR are performing their duties diligently during lockdown without fear of viral outbreak in the country.
