Transporters to observe nationwide strike today

The transporters have announced to hold a nationwide strike on Thursday (today) owing to toll taxes and other increased fines in the country.

According to details, transporters suffering from fines and other taxes have called for a nationwide strike. Protests would be held at 12 places in Lahore.

Transporters have also announced not to operate transport for the supply of vegetables and milk while threatening to close the internal and external routes of the provincial capital.

Officials of the Public and Goods Transporters Association maintained that all types of vehicles would observe the strike and that they have called for an immediate withdrawal of unfair fines and taxes.
