KARACHI – Cherat Cement Company Limited (PSX: CHCC) has commissioned the remaining 2.935 megawatts (MW) of its solar power project at its factory in Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the company informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Wednesday.
The commissioning marks the completion of a planned 9MW solar initiative, further expanding the company’s reliance on renewable energy sources.
Following this development, Cherat Cement’s total captive solar generation capacity now stands at approximately 23MW. The move is in line with the company’s ongoing efforts to manage energy costs and reduce dependence on the national grid.
