Pak-China Khunjerab border reopened till 30th

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan-China border via Khunjerab Pass has been reopened for trade.

According to details, the border will remain open under strict standard operating procedures (SOPs) till 30th of this month. It was closed for tourism purposes to avoid the spread of Covid-19.

Earlier, the border was opened for 13 days, from 29th July till 10th August, to evacuate Pakistani containers loaded with Chinese goods stranded in Kashgar. It may be mentioned that the border has been closed since the outbreak of Covid-19 epidemic but both countries had given permission for its reopening for 13 days.
