The Balochistan government has launched Pakistan’s first-ever automated digital financial e-filing system, marking a breakthrough move towards modernising public sector operations and improving governance.Â
The initiative, introduced by Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, will offer citizens direct access to vital financial and development data, enhancing transparency across the province.
The announcement was made during an inauguration ceremony at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Tuesday, where Bugti highlighted the system’s potential to streamline financial processes, reduce bureaucratic inefficiencies, and strengthen public oversight.
The e-filing system is set to become the backbone of a broader financial reform program in Balochistan, with key features including online budget submissions. All government departments will now be required to submit their budget requests digitally, improving efficiency and reducing manual errors.
The initiative aims to replace outdated and opaque procedures that have long hindered government efficiency, with the new system recording and making all financial transactions accessible to the public at every stage of the approval process.
This move is expected to pave the way for a more transparent and accountable public financial management system in the province.
