Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have jointly launched GO AI Hub Pakistan in Islamabad, marking a key milestone in advancing bilateral cooperation in artificial intelligence, data infrastructure, and digital innovation, according to a statement.Â
The initiative, a collaboration between Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoIT&T) and Saudi Arabia’s GO Telecom (Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication Company), is being facilitated under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) to promote strategic technology partnerships between the two countries.
Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja and GO Telecom CEO Yahya bin Saleh Al-Mansour attended the inauguration ceremony, alongside senior SIFC officials and representatives from Pakistan’s technology sector.
Speaking at the event, Al-Mansour reaffirmed GO Telecom’s long-term commitment to supporting Pakistan’s digital transformation. The collaboration follows a series of high-level engagements under the SIFC framework, including the prime minister’s recent visit to Riyadh, during which MoUs were signed for AI infrastructure development, data centers, and the establishment of GO Talent and AI hubs.
The launch of GO AI Hub Pakistan represents a concrete outcome of the ongoing Pakistan–Saudi partnership in the digital sector, aimed at fostering innovation, developing skilled human capital, and strengthening both nations’ presence in the global technology landscape.
