The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) reduced on Wednesday electricity tariff by Rs2.13 per unit for all distribution companies, except K-Electric, because of fuel adjustment in July, 2016.
The same amount was increased last month and reduced in August making no obvious relief for the consumers. Power production cost came as Rs4.35 whereas Rs 6.49 was collected from the consumers. The decrease in the cost will not be applied on K-Electric consumers and those utilising units up to Rs 300.
