  1. Pakistan started its industrial base truely by PIDC. The clprit Politicians started selling its assets. Look at the Steel Mill; The Shipyard; Its Burewala Textile Mills; the Lawrence pore Woollen Mills;and other assets in East Pakistan. PIDC is now a mere Building earning its revenue from rents. We need to breathe new life in the PIDC and recover its assets from the Private Business.
We need learning from the Asian Tigers South Korea and especially Taiwan. Look Taiwan’s history. America made it a military base and gave it 2 Billion Economic Aid. Taiwan was blessed with the Shanghai Businessmen that had fled after Communism. They opened 70 Export Processing Zones and put the small Island on the map as an Asian Tiger. We too have Export Processing ventures. Take the case of Fisheries. Our Korangi Fish Harbour and Gwadar Fish Harbours are have failed to even make a beginning.
Our Banking system is only a Money Making Machine. Our Sugar Mills are probate properties of Politicians. Government is run by corrupt management and by Clerks. Police Record is shameful.
    Army surrendered in Dhaka.
We have no Rad Map and no Blueprint for our future. We lack a political working system that delivers.
General Ziaul Haq had once said: “Yahan ka to Awa ka Awa bigra huwa he.”

  2. Well Said. Closure of Pakistan Steel is like destroying backbone of engineering industry. Look how steel reiforcement bars used in construction is being produced. Cheap Induction furnaces are being bought from India and steel melted without a process called Carbon Boil. Further the strenght of bars produced is increased by pouring water on bars sometime already below the required temperature. In case of any earth quake all high rise buildings and other structres build with such material will collapse. PSQCA is sleeping so is the nation.
