Tariq Glass starts commercial operations at Opal glass dinnerware project

LAHORE: A stock market notification sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) by Tariq Glass Industries disclosed it had initiated commercial operations at Opal glass dinnerware project with a capacity of 35 tons per day.

Previously, the company had apprised the bourse about firing and lighting up of the furnace at this plant on January 10th, 2018, read the notification.

Also, the company’s managing director the venerated Mr. Tariq Baig passed away on January 17th, 2018.

Mr. Baig was a decorated soldier, officer and leaves behind a rich legacy.

He started his professional career in the Pakistan Army. During his service with the army, he attended a number of important professional courses on technical and management nature and held various coveted appointments of command and staff. In addition, he also served as an instructor at the School of Armour.

Tariq Glass Industries Ltd.’s brands Toyo Nasic, Omroc and Nova are the market leaders in Pakistan.
This successful strategy has allowed the company to penetrate international markets across Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Far East.

Tariq Glass shares were trading at Rs109.40, up Rs1.40 (+1.30 percent). KSE-100 index was trading at 45,366.81 points, up 193.82 points from close on Wednesday.
