ISLAMABAD – The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) on Monday issued a set of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to guide stakeholders on mergers, amalgamations, winding up, and revival of companies. The initiative is aimed at improving understanding of the regulatory framework in these areas.

According to SECP, the FAQs cover topics such as the jurisdiction of relevant authorities, application processes, required documentation, approvals, and key regulatory concepts. The material has been prepared to assist companies, legal practitioners, advisors, and other stakeholders in navigating these procedures.

The FAQs, available on SECP’s official website, are intended to facilitate corporate reorganisation, reduce financial risks, and support the rehabilitation of viable businesses.
