OGRA recommends cut in petrol, diesel prices

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has worked out new oil prices under the monthly fuel price mechanism and forwarded a summary in this regard to the Petroleum Division and Ministry of Finance for final decision, said sources on Wednesday.

Sources in Petroleum Division informed Pakistan Today that OGRA has proposed both increase and decrease for future oil prices.

They said that a decrease of Rs4 per litre in the price of high-speed diesel (HSD), Rs0.50 per litre cut in petrol price, and Rs2 per litre decrease in the price of kerosene oil have been recommended by OGRA.

On the other hand, the authority has also proposed Rs1 per litre increase in the price of light diesel oil (LDO).

The finance ministry will take final decision regarding the oil prices after consulting Prime Minister Imran Khan.
