ICI Pakistan's soda ash expansion project starts operations

LAHORE: A bourse notification filed Monday by ICI Pakistan Limited disclosed phase I of its 150,000 tons per annum (TPA) expansion project at its soda ash manufacturing facility in Khewra had successfully been commissioned and commenced operations.

Consequently, as a result of the addition of this 75,000 TPA expansion in phase 1 at its soda ash manufacturing facility, total capacity at the plant now stood at 425,000 TPA.

ICI Pakistan Limited manufactures and trades in soda ash, polyester, life sciences, and chemical products in Pakistan and internationally. It offers polyester staple fibers, sodium bicarbonate, POY chips, polyurethanes, general and specialty chemicals, toll-manufactured pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, and animal health products, as well as agricultural products, including chemicals, field crop seeds, vegetable seeds, and other products.

ICI Pakistan's shares were trading at Rs790.0, down Rs4.95 and KSE-100 index at 43,829.29 points, up 45.59 points from close on Friday.
