National Refinery temporarily closes all of its production

The National Refinery Limited has announced that it will be temporarily closing down all of its production from March 25 as it carries sufficient inventories to meet the current requirement, said the company in a statement to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Thursday.

The company explained that in view of the provincial government’s decision for lockdown to curtail the outbreak of coronavirus, there is extremely low demand for petroleum products.

The decision to restart the refinery will be reviewed in the first week of April 2020, the statement added.
