Flour prices in Karachi rise twice in a week

KARACHI: The price of flour in Karachi has increased for the second time during the last seven days.

According to details, flour number 2.5 is being sold at Rs59 in Karachi after a surge of Rs2 per kg.

On the other hand, Flour Mills Association President Chaudhry Aamir Abdullah has said that the provincial government has procured 1.2 million metric tonnes of wheat, but is not providing it to the flour mills.

He added that flour price can be decreased by Rs5 to Rs6 per kg with the cooperation of the Sindh government.
