Indus Motor, Pak Suzuki, Yamaha plants closed in Sindh

Following the decision of the Sindh government to impose lockdown in the province due to the coronavirus outbreak , three auto industry plants have been shut down, a local newspaper reported.

They include Indus Motor Company Limited (IMCL), Pak Suzuki Motors Company Limited (PSML) and Yamaha Motor Pakistan (YMP). They announced that their plants and office would remain closed during lockdown period in Sindh.

In a bid to contain and curb further spread of coronavirus, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah decided to impose a complete lockdown from March 24 to April 6 all over Sindh. “I have no other option but to save the people of Sindh from this epidemic.” He took this decision just after presiding over different meetings with his government teams and with the opposition political parties.
