FAISALABAD: The business community of Faisalabad has welcomed the reconstitution of FESCO Board of Directors, with inclusion of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) President as its Ex-official member.
Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) former president Mian Muhammad Idrees has said that the nomination of President FCCI in FESCO Board of Directors will help this BOD in decision making regarding electricity related issues.
He said that a few years ago, the FCCI President was included as Ex-official member but later on this practice was abandoned which deprived business community to participate in the decision making of FESCO at the regional level.
He said that FCCI took up this issue at the highest level and now once again FCCI President has been nominated as Ex-official member of the FESCO Board of Directors.
He added that FCCI President Shabbir Hussain Chawla will now represent the business community in BOD of FESCO and gives his prudent input to run the affairs of the FESCO in smoothly and systematic manner.
