SBP reserves decrease by 7pc, stand at 7.5bn

KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Thursday stated that the total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at $13.9 billion as of November 30, 2018.

According to a handout issued by the central bank, foreign reserves held by the SBP stood at $7.5 billion, while the net foreign reserves held by commercial banks stood at $6.4 billion.

During the week under review, SBP’s reserves decreased by $560 million or 7 per cent to $7.5 billion owing to external debt servicing and other official payments.
