FBR launches POS invoice system for major retailers

Islamabad: In a major development towards e-commerce, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has introduced Point of Sale (POS) invoicing system for major retailers.

The POS system has integrated major retail outlets with the FBR system where the buyers can also verify their tax payment through Tax Asaan App. The retailers do not need to purchase any additional machinery to use this system, as they can integrate their system with POS by downloading an application from the FBR website.

The FBR warned that the retailers, who do not get them integrated into the POS system, will not get full input tax credit as the POS system is running without interruption at more than 5,500 shops.
