ISLAMABAD: Minister for Industries and Production Hammad Azhar has claimed that 2021 will be a historical year for industrial production in the country.
Talking to a private news channel, the federal minister said that Pakistan’s economy is becoming stronger despite the coronavirus pandemic. “The country’s macroeconomic indicators are increasing to a great extent due to prudent policies and programmes introduced by the current government,” he added.
The minister said the construction of new factories in the country would also improve the national economy, besides creating job opportunities.
He said that the government is closely monitoring the prices of essential items, sugar and edible oil to ensure uninterrupted supply at fair prices while the availability of wheat and sugar stocks has ensured a steady supply of both commodities across the country.
The minister added that wheat stock position is sufficient for the domestic consumption and average per day release to the provinces is also satisfactory.
It is said that if you nothing good to say then keep your mouth shut. Unfortunately PTI leaders have developed a habit of making false promises and then taking u-turns on these promises, on one pretext or another. Why not focus on actually making these things happen and than boast of the achievements, instead of making promises which they cannot keep.
