UAE Foreign Minister to visit Pakistan for trade and investment talks

Sheikh Abdullah will hold talks with FM Ishaq Dar on boosting economic ties, energy cooperation, and people-to-people links

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, will arrive in Pakistan on Sunday for a two-day official visit aimed at expanding economic cooperation between the two countries.

According to a statement from Pakistan’s Foreign Office, the high-level visit underscores the strong diplomatic and economic relationship between the two nations and their shared interest in expanding cooperation across various sectors, including trade, investment, and energy.

Sheikh Abdullah is scheduled to hold formal talks with Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, where discussions will center on deepening economic collaboration, fostering energy partnerships, and boosting people-to-people connections. The talks will also cover regional security and emerging geopolitical developments.

The visit follows the two ministers’ last meeting in Abu Dhabi on February 21, 2025, and is seen as a continuation of efforts to elevate the strategic partnership between the two countries.

In addition, Sheikh Abdullah will meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to reaffirm the UAE’s commitment to regional peace and prosperity and explore new avenues of economic engagement.
