Pakistan emerging as key player in crypto economy, says PCC CEO

Pakistan has the potential to become a regional leader in digital finance, exporting innovation and serving emerging markets, says Bilal

ISLAMABAD: The Chief Executive Officer of the Pakistan Crypto Council (PCC), Bilal Bin Saqib, said on Friday that Pakistan is establishing itself as a player in the crypto economy.

In an interview with a private news channel, he stated that Pakistan is setting its own trend in the digital currency sector, rather than following global patterns.

He noted that global technology leaders and companies are increasingly interested in exploring Pakistan’s crypto potential.

Bilal Bin Saqib said Pakistani youth are ready to adopt cryptocurrencies and that Pakistan has the potential to become a regional leader in digital finance, exporting innovation and serving emerging markets.

He added that the creation of Pakistan’s Digital Assets Authority will enable effective regulation, aiming to support the establishment of global-level companies within Pakistan instead of just in the US or Europe.

He highlighted the importance of turning Pakistani freelancers and tech users into founders, saying the country is advancing in the digital economy through strategic engagement.

He also mentioned that Pakistan is progressing in the crypto space faster than neighboring countries and gaining recognition internationally.
