OGRA dismisses fuel shortage rumours, confirms normal supply nationwide

Authority says clearance delays for imported PSO diesel and WAFI petrol vessels have been resolved; assures uninterrupted operations across Pakistan

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has denied reports of any fuel shortage in the country, assuring that petroleum supply operations are running smoothly nationwide.

In an official statement issued on Tuesday, an OGRA spokesperson clarified that earlier clearance delays affecting imported petroleum consignments had been addressed in full. The spokesperson confirmed that Pakistan State Oil’s (PSO) diesel shipment and WAFI’s petrol vessel had both successfully cleared, restoring normal supply flows across the country.

“Fuel supply operations across Pakistan remain stable, and business continues as usual,” the spokesperson said, reaffirming that there are no disruptions in the availability of petrol or diesel.
