HBL and Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) signed an MoU to collaborate on developing commercial financing schemes for LUMS’ upcoming project, ‘Pakistan – Battery Swapping Network’, supported by the Mitigation Action Facility.
The initiative aims to accelerate the adoption of electric three-wheelers in Pakistan through flexible financing options, driving the shift to cleaner, emission-free transport, improving air quality.
Furthermore, the initiative will support Pakistan’s climate change mitigation targets as stipulated in the Paris Climate Agreement and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).
The signing ceremony was attended by Omer Mallick, Product Head SME – HBL and Dr. Tariq Mahmood Jadoon, Provost – LUMS along with team members from both organizations.
