Fecto Cement Limited has resumed full operations at its cement manufacturing plant in Sangjani, Islamabad, following a directive from the Islamabad High Court (IHC) that declared the earlier suspension of operations unlawful.
The company disclosed the development in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Friday, stating that production activities at the facility have restarted in the ordinary course of business.
According to the notice, the IHC allowed the complete resumption of plant operations and ruled that the suspension was “illegal and without lawful authority.”
Following the court’s decision, Fecto Cement said it has restored normal operations at the plant and expects uninterrupted production going forward.
The company added that the temporary suspension did not have any material adverse impact on its long-term financial position, asset base, or business continuity.
Fecto Cement Limited was incorporated in 1981 as a public limited company and is engaged in the manufacturing and sale of Portland cement. Last month, the company announced the completion of the sale of its investment property located near Islamabad International Airport in Rawalpindi.
