Petrol prices likely to go up

Oil prices for the month of March are likely to go up, as the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has sought an increase in prices of petroleum products from March 1 through a summary presented to the Ministry of Finance.

In its summary to the ministry, the OGRA requested for raising the prices of petrol by Rs 1 per litre, diesel by Rs 1.5 per litre and kerosene oil by Rs 3 per litre.

Earlier on February 15, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar had approved an increase in price of petrol. The prices of petrol and diesel had been increased by Rs 1 per litre, while the prices of kerosene and light-speed diesel were kept unchanged.
