No action against traders till Sept 30: FBR

Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Shabbar Zaidi on Thursday held meetings with different groups of traders to discuss taxation-related issues.

“It has inter alia been agreed with a consensus that no adverse action under the Income Tax Ordinance 2001, and Sales Tax Act, 1990, will be undertaken against the traders merely on the basis of information till September 30, 2019,” the FBR said in a statement. “There will be a discussion between the associations and trade bodies for the finalization of the scheme for small shopkeepers, drafts of which have been furnished by various trade bodies which will be taken into consideration by the FBR.”
