Super Power gears up to launch electric cars in Pak

Super Power, one of the first brands to have introduced electric motorbikes is gearing up to launch electric cars in Pakistan. The company has unveiled two of the electric cars at the ’14th My Karachi-Oasis of Harmony’ exhibition recently.

N.J Auto Industries Marketing Executive, Abdul Muqsit while speaking to the media, stated that the company is anticipating starting sale of the electric cars within the next three months. However, no target market is specified for the new electric cars. People from all age groups can drive the car, he added. He further stated that the company anticipates growth in the usage of electronic cars within the next couple of years.

Two variants of the electric vehicles two-door and four-door will be launched within the next three months in Pakistan. They are priced at Rs. 600,000 and Rs. 650,000 respectively.

The vehicles can travel up to speeds of 50 km/h. A 7-hr charge enables the car to cover a distance of 120 km. The vehicles come installed with a 12 volts battery that can be charged at home in the same way as charging a UPS.

As per the information available with the media, the electric vehicles will be imported from China.
