Saqib Zia, elected Chairman of Pakistan Advertisers Society

LAHORE: Saqib Zia, Associate Brand Director at Procter and Gamble, Pakistan has been elected as the new Chairman of Pakistan Advertisers Society (PAS) in an annual general meeting held on Friday.

Zia has a distinguished profile and experience of over 17 years spanning various industries. He started working as sales manager at Shell Pakistan in 2000 before joining Procter & Gamble in early 2004 as brand manager, haircare.

From there, he went onto become regional brand manager, female personal beauty Arabian Peninsula in UAE, a position he held for 3 years. Zia was promoted to position of global brand manager, Duracell at P&G Switzerland till early 2013.

From April 2013-October 2015, Zia was assigned the position of regional brand manager, Duracell EMEA region at P&G before going onto become associate brand director in November 2015.

He has a diverse marketing and sales experience across different geographies from developing to highly developed countries/clusters. Also, Zia’s achievements have been recognized at a local and global level, read his LinkedIn profile.

Pakistan Advertisers Society (PAS) collectively speaks for the common interest of the advertisers and is representative of 80% of the ad-spend of Pakistan.

Chartered in 1996, PAS is governed by a board of Council Members and directed by an Executive Director. The prime objective of PAS is to ‘empower its members’ in dealing with the government, advertising agencies, media and other organizations integral to the advertising industry. It believes in promoting the spirit of mutual-support for mutual-benefit among its members.
