Banks to remain closed for public on January 1st

ISLAMABAD: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced to observe a bank holiday on January 1, 2018, and will remain closed for all public dealings, said a press release issued here on Wednesday.

Moreover, all private and public banks, Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), and Microfinance Banks (MBFs) will also observe a holiday from public dealings.

However, all bank employees will still attend the office as usual.
