GWADAR: As economic activities of CPEC start, Pakistan is going to host a first-ever international trade show in Gwadar this month. The show, being held at newly constructed trade centre at Gwadar free zone, will be attended by hundreds of exhibitors from over 120 companies of Pakistan and China.
The event “Gwadar Expo 2018” will be held from January 29 to 30, 2018. The mega show is being organised by China Overseas Ports Holding and Gwadar Port Authority. Linyi Trade City Overseas Investment Co will be co-organiser of the expo.
Talking to Pakistan Today, Gwadar Port Authority Chairman Dostain Khan Jamaldini that said initially, apart from local firms, only Chinese companies have been invited to the first show at Gwadar. Investors and companies from other countries may be invited in next phases of such events.
He said that 400 to 500 participants of various Pakistani and Chinese companies will attend the two-day event at trade centre where offices have already been booked by banks, insurance companies and others.
For the first time, all rooms at PC Gwadar and other hotels in the port area have been booked by foreigners and local businessmen, a source said.
