OGRA approves Rs5.26 relief in petrol prices

ISLAMABAD: Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) proposed a Rs5.26 per litre relief in prices of petroleum on Friday.

In a detailed summary sent by OGRA to the Finance Ministry, a reduction in the petroleum prices was proposed.This includes a Rs0.65 reduction in high speed diesel, Rs0.13 in kerosene oil and Rs0.55 in light diesel oil.

The authority requested to fix the prices of petrol at Rs82.82, high speed diesel at Rs99.10, Kerosene oil at Rs67.59 and light diesel at Rs65.85.

The Ministry of Finance will issue its final decision on March 31 after reviewing the summary, after which the new price rates may be implemented from April 1.
