ISLAMABAD: The government is determined to develop Cthe hina-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) to eradicate poverty, provide education to youth, and create job opportunities, and production of electricity by using local resources.
This is stated by Minister for Planning, Development and Reform Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar, while talking to Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing here on Friday.
He said Pakistan will ensure sustainable development by pursuing Chinese model of progress. He said Pakistan offers vast investment opportunities and Chinese investors should take benefit of them.
They also held a detailed discussion on the strategy for the next phase of CPEC to promote cooperation in agriculture, tourism, and other sectors.
The meeting also reviewed possible public-private partnership in the wake of various models of investment and partnership.
