- Chinese govt grants a ‘Guest of Honour’ status to Pakistan to ensure provision of all possible facilities
Pakistan will establish a pavilion at the China International Import Expo to be held in Shanghai from November 5-10, 2018, it was learnt on Friday.
According to an official privy to this development, the expo will provide a chance to the manufacturers and producers to showcase their products in order to gain access to the Chinese market.
The Chinese government has granted a “Guest of Honour” status to Pakistan to ensure the provision of all possible facilities and benefits to the Pakistani business community at the expo.
The official said that the Chinese gesture shows the country’s level of commitment to make Pakistan part of a shared future.
“Pakistani producers at the expo will have a great opportunity to offer their unique and cost-effective products,” he said. “A bigger share of the market in China would translate into higher revenues, improved quality and a wider product range.”
