ISLAMABAD: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) Monday said in view of non-berthing of Pakistan State Oil (PSO) cargo, liquified natural gas (LNG) regasification from T1 Engro Terminal has now been reduced to 220 million cube feet per day (MMCFD).

Total RLNG available was 600 MMCFD at this time and the weather condition at the port may become more severe by Tuesday and resultantly berthing of Pakistan LNG Limited upcoming cargo may get into difficulty, a press release said.

This may reduce RLNG availability to only 400 MMCFD in case of such an eventuality.

SNGPL said, “Under the circumstances, we have shut down Gas Pressure Proving System with immediate effect along with fertilizer, Compressed Natural Gas and non-zero-rated industry.

So that domestic consumers will face minimum problems. As soon as the system improves gas supply shall be restored.”
