FBR decides to intensify crackdown on non-filers

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is all set to launch an aggressive campaign from October 15, 2019, to get the industrial and commercial consumers registered with the board.

FBR Chairman Syed Shabbar Zaidi, in a tweet on Friday, said that all industrial and commercial consumers must be registered for income tax purposes.

The FBR chairman said that the board had been using persuasive modus operandi to ensure the registrations, adding that to achieve the desired objective, an aggressive campaign would be launched from October 15, 2019.

“All industrial and commercial consumers are necessarily required to be registered for tax purposes. FBR had been using persuasive modus operandi for the same. In order to achieve the desired results an aggressive drive will be undertaken from October 15, 2019,” he tweeted.
