LAHORE: The Securities and Exchange Commission Pakistan (SECP) has signed multiple Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs) with five universities to promote financial literacy among the Pakistani youth.

SECP’s Commissioner Investor Education Department, Shaukat Hussain inked the MoUs, while universities were represented by their respective Vice-Chancellors, Registrars & Directors,” a tweet by the SECP read.

The SECP signed new MOUs with the University of Balochistan, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro, University of Wah, Forman Christian University Lahore and the University of Malakand.
SECP’s total number of active MOUs under its investor education program ‘Jamapunji’ with various institutions, including the five universities mentioned above, has now reached 51, giving the commission leverage of an ever-increasing platform for spreading investor awareness.
