Trains between Quetta, Taftan suspended as coronavirus claims 15 lives in Iran 

Amid reports of 15 deaths due to deadly coronavirus in Iran, the Pakistan Railways on Wednesday suspended the operation of trains between Quetta and Taftan.

In a video message on Twitter, Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed said four trains that travel between Quetta and Pakistan’s Taftan have been suspended and called back.

Rasheed said the train service will remain suspended till further orders and as long as the border is closed. Rashid further said: “If you have booked your luggage or other things on the trains, you can take it back.”

Taftan is a border city in Balochistan and hundreds of people including pilgrims cross the border every day.
