Review committee discusses entities being privatised

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Privatisation cum Privatisation Commission Chairman Mohammedmian Soomro chaired a meeting of the review committee on privatisation here on Wednesday.

The minister was briefed about the current status of various entities including RLNG power plants, Services Int’l Hotel, SME Bank, Nandipur Power Plant etc, a press release issued by the privatization ministry said.

A kick-off meeting with the financial advisers was also held for the privatisation of 425-525megawatt combine Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) of Nandipur backed bys the Northern Power Generation Company Limited (NPGCL).

Soomro was briefed that in the kick-off meeting the complete timeline plan for transaction related activities, the required information for due diligence and ultimate completion of the subject transaction were discussed.

The minister inquired about the developments made in the parallel transaction of selected entities and also directed the officials to focus on timely completion of those transactions in a transparent manner.
