ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Development Working Party (IDWP) has approved 122 projects pertaining to sanitation, rural roads and water supply at a cost of Rs27.59 billion under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
The IDWP meeting was held under the chair of Islamabad Chief Commissioner Aamir Ali Ahmad on Monday. Representatives of the planning, interior and finance ministries were also present on the occasion.
Of the total approved amount, 12,156 million would be spent on rural roads, Rs12,025 million on sanitation, Rs2,548 million on water supply schemes, and Rs863.819 million on the construction of bridges for NA-52, NA-53 and NA-54 constituencies.
These projects are planned to be implemented during the next three years.
Speaking on the occasion, the chair directed the department to ensure quality during the execution of construction work, besides timely completion of projects.
