PALPA rejects cut in salaries, benefits

KARACHI: Pakistan Airlines Pilots Association (PALPA) on Wednesday rejected the slash in salaries and benefits of privileged employees.

The PALPA spokesperson in a statement said the order issued by PIA is “illegal” and based on “injustice”.

“The decision is a complete violation of international laws related to flight security.”

The pilots association warned of a protest against the “unjust” slash in salaries and reduction in benefits. The general body also announced to take legal action against the PIA.

Last month, PIA had announced to cut salaries and benefits of 450 pilots, 400 engineers and 27 finance department officials.
