Pak Suzuki temporarily halts motorcycle plant operations

Suzuki’s motorcycle facility has previously undergone nine plant shutdowns this year— for a total of 133 calendar days

Pak Suzuki Motor Company has officially declared a temporary shutdown of its motorcycle plant for six days.

The company communicated this decision through an official letter submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Friday.

The announcement explained that the decision to close the motorcycle plant from December 1, 2023, to December 6, 2023, is a strategic move aligned with the current sales demand and aims to optimize the inventory of finished goods.

Notably, the automobile plant will continue its operations unaffected by this temporary shutdown.

It is pertinent to mention here that Suzuki’s motorcycle facility has previously undergone nine plant shutdowns this year: from 2 to 6 January, from 20 to 31 March, from 4 to 27 April, from 2 to 9 May, from 23 May to 10 June, from 12 to 16 June, from 22 June to 18 July, and from 31 July to 15 August. — for a total of 133 calendar days.
