The Ministry of Industries and Production on Tuesday received 310 kanals of state-owned land in Haripur from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), following recovery efforts against illegal possession.
At a formal ceremony, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production Haroon Akhtar Khan accepted the land on behalf of the federal government. The handover was carried out by NAB Deputy Chairman Sohail Nasir and NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Director General Farmanullah.
According to an official statement, the land is valued in the billions of rupees and has been transferred to the federal government through the ministry. Industries Secretary Saif Anjum, NAB officials, and Director General Freedoon Akram Sheikh attended the event.
Speaking at the ceremony, Haroon said the protection of national resources is a government priority under the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He added that institutions are working in coordination to achieve the prime minister’s vision of a corruption-free Pakistan.
“This success is a practical manifestation of the prime minister’s vision of transparency and accountability,” he said.
